i saw my doctor today, finally!!!! he refilled my painkillers. SHWEW! he looked at the MRI again and saw that there is a nerve being pinched at L4 right side. i wondered why he hadn't noticed that before, looking at the SAME pictures!!??
all this time i've been hoping that he'd say i could have a cortisone injection in this side of my spine. it seems like the injections on the left side have helped a lot. it's probably sort of painful, but the right side is so much worse, that it's hard to tell. i hope this means that after this next shot, both sides will be much improved. he said that i might need repeated sets of injections (i think you get 3/year) to get the nerves to "calm down" as Dr. Lu says.
i'm not scared anymore, it was easy last time.
Dr. Lu didn't acknowledge me when i said that i could no longer walk without the cane.
i felt a blast of cold air!
